For this recipe I used a gas grill for convenience. Turn the gas grill to medium high heat and make sure the grates are cleaned with a wire brush. With an old towel, rub the grates down with olive oil.
I recently recieved this grill and it took me approx.5hrs to put together. The good things about it is it does everything well as intended. The charcoal grill does a fantastic job as well as the gas grill, the side burner and the smoke box all do a wonderful job. The downside to it is that it is not made of heavy gage metal. I have read complaints of rust through and the burnners going after only a couple of years and I can see why. This piece of equipment is made to only last 5yrs I guess I expect more for this price. I love the whole idea of gas, charcoal, side box and side burner all in one but after this goes I will spend the extra money for an individual heavy duty charcoal grill, gas grill, and seperate smoker that I know will last a lifetime not just 5yrs.
Another type of gas grill gaining popularity is called a . According to Hearth and Home magazine, flattop grills "on which food cooks on a griddlelike surface and is not exposed to an open flame at all" is an emerging trend in the outdoor grilling market.
