I just had the worst luck in the world. I had just gotten out of class tonight and was on my way home. It was raining out and was dark out. As I was driving down the road the car slipped off the edge of the road (I was in an area where there was construction and the road was narrow). I was able to pull the right tire back on the road and continued on for about three miles. As I reached full speed on the interstate the car began to make a loud noise. I immediatly turned down the radio and could tell that it was a flat tire. I pulled off to the side of the road and went and looked at the tire. Sure enough, flat. I decided it was not a good idea for me to attempt to change it because it was so dark out and I could not really see what I was doing. I called AAA, they said they would be there in a half hour. After waiting for about 45 minutes a truck pulled up behind me. It was taking the driver awhile to get out of the car so I started to get the spare ready. The guy finally got out of the truck and began to help. As we were changing the tire a flat bed truck pulled up in front of the car and I realized that one of the people were not from AAA. Turned out the guy currently helping me was just stopping to be nice. I thanked him and the AAA guy finished the job. I thanked the AAA guy and he drove off. As he pulled away I got in the car and turned the key. The car dosen’t turn over. I attempt to flash the lights to get the guys’ attention but the lights don’t have enough power. I sit for a few minutes hoping there is enough power to start the car. Finally the cell phone rings and it is the AAA guy, seems he didn’t see me pull away and was just checking back. I explained the situation and he agreed to turn around and come back. Well everything turned out ok, but it sure was not the way I wanted to spend the evening.
